    Upgrading from Jackelope to Pangolin

So, I've gotten a little behind on the updates...

But I feel it's time to catch up and get on the new LTS build. Looks like I may have aged out of the ability to auto-update with the update manager though. Can anyone help me out with upgrading to Precise Pangolin, or at this point is a clean re-install my best bet?

The chances of that working are slim in my opinion. A fresh install would be faster and easier. Of course backup important files first.
Use whatever OS or desktop works for you. Dual boot or use VMs if you want. Backup your computer regularly, and definitely before upgrading, partitioning, or installing an OS.

No support requests by PM please.

    Definitely clean install time!

From jackalope, 9.04, you would have to go to 9.10, then to 10.04, then you could go direct to 12.04, but three jumps, the last of which is a huge one from gnome 2 to gnome 3 (unity), and I believe has been more of a problem to many users than is normal for updates.
