Networking dual boot.(says connected... no internet)

HI i am new to Linux.

I am running a dual boot with windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04...
I have a ridiculous set up right now...
I have a laptop running wirelessly which is outputting Ethernet to the computer with the dual boot.
Windows 7 on the dual boot comp is able to connect to the internet via the wired connection.
Ubuntu Says connected but will not load any web pages.

I'm sure you guys have a bunch of questions and commands for me. SO let me have em.

    I appreciate the help..
    THanks,
    dustin

    Bump.

Someone was telling me it may have something to do with my DNS settings.
Right now i have all the connection settings on auto like they came.
I have run ifconfig and everything looks in order but i may be overlooking something..
Please let me know if there's a standard setting i should apply for internet connections or some place i can go to learn this information..

    THanks,
    Dustin

    BUMP

Can someone at least tell me where i can learn more about this issue if they don't want to answer.

When i google unbuntu networking i am overloaded with results too complex for my issue.

    THanks.
