    instant messenger suggestion

    hello,

    Any suggestions for a good instant messenger..?

    i have used kopete and emesene but i had some type of problems in both of them..

    Some criteria would be helpful.

    Is this just for connecting to MSN instant messengers as the two you mentioned do ?

    I have heard good things about aMSN and seemed ok when I used it.. my simple needs means Empathy is fine for me.

    Yes it is for connecting to msn..

    amsn, emesene, kopete, kmess, pidgin, empathy

    what problems are you having?

    emesene sometimes didnt send my messages to the person i was chating..

    kopete had some annoying notifications that although i had choose the properties i wanted once it worked and the other it didnt without having chaned anything...

    I've used Emesene for a couple years, I find it's the best and works generally well.

    Pidgin is also good.
