Mount issues (CD)

I had joined the newsgroups, and it is great, but I'd need more information on the mounting on Xubuntu 9.10. I had hard time mounting my CD by simply install a data CD and it works on ubuntu 9.10, but WHY not Xubuntu 9.10? Hm.

I tried everything (before I got the mount command they gave me, it works!), but I wish there is a easy way to mount CDs.

Yesterday I was having some issues with mounting too (in Kubuntu 9.10), not only CDS, but also pendrives. My Windows XP virtualmachine was mounting CDs just fine, but also no pendrives. I think it was caused by an updated I had just installed.

I rebooted and it started working fine again.

You know mounting is the most difficult issue to face. You will have to explain on the methods, or I will just will keeo bumping until I get an answer, Even I'm a heavy user on Ubuntu, I still ask important questions.
