    Desktop launcher icon change

    Hi all,

I have just created launcher on my desktop that runs my amgia emulator. However I want to change the icon of the launcher ? Is there any way to do this without messing around with the theme (I only want this one icon changed)

    Many thanks

right-click the launcher, select "Properties" and then either click the icon you see on the left side and find a picture you want to use as icon, or simply drag&drop the new picture over the current icon.

    No problem

The hardest thing in Gnome is to realize that things are actually done so easily..

Like the Gnome-panel. You can just drag it around where you want it, you can drag the applets around, and you can drag&drop launchers from menu to the panel, or drop any picture into the panel to set it as panel background. Anybody who's been using Windows would expect that kind of things to require some magical tricks with the registry, at least.. Hardly anybody would think about just dragging everything around with mouse.
