Flurry Screen Saver?

Ok, I may be stupid...but is the Flurry Screensaver gone? It was the one with the little prismatic tenticle thing that floats around on your screen. Also the default screensaver for a mac.

Yes--it's been gone from the last of the Intrepid cycle---it & a few other screensavers were causing problems with some video drivers---I still have a copy from before it was dropped--if you want it, I can post the files...depending on what your drivers are, you may not be able to use it....I run nvidia & flurry just became useable again with the last couple of updates....

Well, if you are nvidia---it will work......I've got the 3 files to re-enable it if you want.

Re: Flurry Screen Saver?

I misread what you said... I thought you said that you use nvidia and it was unusable. Anyway, I'll gladly put them to use if you don't mind posting them.

Thanks!

Re: Flurry Screen Saver?

Flurry is working again? I got the files from you once before but I haven't tried to get Flurry working in Jaunty for while since it failed the first time I tried. You say it works now?? Files/instructions mucho appreciated!

Edit: Three files? I think I only have two... ??

Hi Therion!!

Yes--I have 3 files that are for flurry--I'm away from my system for the next couple of days (on a weedender)--two of them you will need if you had flurry installed at any time in the past (updated system) & one more if you did a fresh install without flurry ever installed....flurry needs all 3 to work correctly---I'll make sure to post the locations of all 3 Sunday evening pacific time (when I get back home)---meanwhile---search your system for flurry & see if any files are installed...The ones that worked in Intrepid alpha 3 still work very well---I was testing it from time to time until I could use it without crashing gnome-screensaver------

Flocks is nice, and fairly similar. A bit random in how it'll appear each time, but pretty abstract and colourful with smooth lines and the like
