I had installed a Ubuntu 10.10 on /dev/sda1
I made another partition /dev/sda2 and I formated to ntfs
Extended partition is on /dev/sda3
The swap is on /dev/sda5

I have a Laptop with Ubuntu on it, a Desktop with SnowLep and a server running Ubuntu.

What I want to do is have the same Desktop (/home/lucian/Desktop) from server mounted on both other machines....

I am considering using netatalk for the Time Machine purpose. Did any of you guys do this? This would work in combination with Avahi.

I mean I have a folder on my root /share and I want to find out how much free space do I have left on the hdd, problem is I have 4 HDD and I don't know if /share is mounted on / or where ..... what...

Ok, I added fuse.sshfs in to PRUNEFS in /etc/updatedb.conf then I mounted the sshfs and it is looking good, no more 64GB of log files.

I never shout down the computer, I mean if I did it once was couple of months ago when I had a crash. But that is pretty much the only time I can remember. I usually put it on stand by or hibernate....
